Husband & Brown is a development and planning agency. We provide a specialist service in relation to the acquisition and disposal of land and property, primarily within the residential development sector. The two core strands of our offer are summarised below.
The majority of our team has worked within the house building industry as land buyers. As a result we are not only fully trained and experienced in identifying and securing suitable development opportunities, but also understand the economic and other challenges that can arise for land acquisition across the North East and beyond.
The process of uncovering the optimum development sites for clients can take many forms including full saturation surveys of spatial areas, reviewing the direction of local planning policy and scrutinising building leads.
Once a client has provided a brief to the team, the process of finding and securing a site begins. Husband & Brown ensures that the whole process is managed in a "hands on" manner from site identification right through to the legal completion of the purchase. Throughout the process the client is kept fully informed.
We decided to use Husband and Brown mainly down to the experience they had from working within the house building industry. This experience has ensured that when negotiating land deals on our behalf they have an excellent understanding of what is required to drive forward a successful transaction.
The second major strand of our business concerns the sale of development opportunities, whether they are 'oven ready' sites with fully detailed planning permission or sites without any formal planning status.
As the majority of our marketing material is produced in-house we are able to offer a highly cost-effective and speedy service. In the space of 24 hours from instruction we can have a site placed for sale on-line with full marketing particulars and distributed to our database of contacts. Our diverse and extensive base of well over 1,000 different industry contacts means that we are better placed than most to marry sites with outstanding client requirements (See "Clients").
At the sales end of the process our in-house surveyor's knowledge of costs coupled with our negotiation skills means that we can agree and conclude a deal that is attractive for our clients.
